IAWG 2008 Annual Meeting in Cairo, Egypt
requirements
Organizational One-Pagers on Reproductive Health in Crises-related Activities
All participating organizations are requested to prepare a one-page document highlighting their recent or projected work on reproductive health in crisis settings for distribution at the meeting. For organizations with multiple representatives, we ask that you coordinate among your staff so that only one document is submitted. Please add your agency logo and restrict your submission to one A4-page single-sided (approximately 500 words) document. (a sample template may be downloaded here.)
The deadline for submission is 17 October, and the document should be emailed to Chelsea Cooper (chelseac@archq.org). Please note that if we do not receive your document by the above date, we may not be able to include your agency information in the participant packets.
MISP Module & Drawing
All participants are highly encouraged to complete the Minimum Initial Service Package (MISP) Module before the IAWG meeting. The MISP for Reproductive Health is a coordinated set of priority activities to be implemented at the onset of every emergency, and the module aims to increase humanitarian actors' knowledge of the priority RH services. The module takes approximately 3-4 hours to complete, and scoring 80% or higher on the post-test will enable you to become certified in the MISP. The module is available in Arabic, Bahasa Indonesian, English, French, Spanish and Russian, and the post-test in English and French from here.

Win an iPod!
The Women’s Refugee Commission will be conducting a drawing contest at the IAWG annual meeting, whereby the winner will receive a red iPod. All participants who have successfully completed the MISP module by 27 October will be eligible to enter the contest. You will not be required to bring your certificate of completion with you to enter the drawing since the module database keeps a record of successful test-takers. The MISP team wishes you success in your endeavors.
