Training of Trainers: Multimedia Training Tool
on Clinical Care for Sexual Assault Survivors

The International Rescue Committee (IRC) will hold a three-day training of trainers on how to use its new multimedia tool for sexual assault survivors. The goal of this tool is to improve the clinical care of sexual assault survivors in low resource settings by demonstrating compassionate, competent, and confidential care in keeping with international standards. It is intended for use in the training of all staff in health clinics (clinicians and non-clinicians) who interact with sexual assault survivors. Please click here for more information on the tool. Participants attending the training of trainers will be expected to implement the training upon returning to their sites.

Application deadlineS

If you are applying for a scholarship to attend the IAWG Annual Meeting in Cairo, please send this application form by the preliminary deadline of 17 September 2008.

If you are not applying for a scholarship, the deadline for applications is 3 October 2008.

Participation at the training will be limited to 15 people.

Cost

The training will be offered free of charge. Lunch will be provided during the training. Unless you are a scholarship recipient for the IAWG 2008 meeting, you will be responsible for arranging your own travel and accommodation.
